American Chemical Society, Hungary Chapter

The Hungarian Chapter of the American Chemical Society was founded in 2002 by members of the American Chemical Society living and working in Hungary. At present it is one of three ACS International Chemical Sciences Chapters. The aims of the organization:

  • to cultivate the good relationship between chemists in the US and Hungary
  • to help make ACS more known in Europe and organize ACS courses, workshops, conferences in Hungary
  • to make the society more known and popular among Hungarian chemists
  • to make the activity of ACS more known among Hungarian chemists
  • to represent the scientific interests of Hungarian chemist living temporarily in the US
  • to spread/distribute/translate ACS publications in Hungary
